MOTIVATION MONDAY: RISE

"The experience of pain or loss can be a formidably motivating force." - John C. Maxwell

Whether in our personal lives or in our career, one of the important determinants of whether or not we will be successful is our determination and motivation to do whatever is necessary for us to achieve that desired end which is success.

But for us to get to that point, we have to learn, and be able to apply, some kind of ability that will produce success. One of the best lessons or abilities to be learnt in life is the ability to use your circumstances to your advantage. Be it good or bad, pleasure or pain, loss or gain. All that emotion can be channelled towards achieving some form of success.

But the most compelling of these emotions is loss. Even the fear of loss can motivate one to give his or her all into the pursuit of a purpose. Knowing what you can lose is, most times, enough to shake some seriousness into us. The loss might be loss of money. But most times, it might be loss of integrity, status, etc.

When you feel low or unmotivated to do what is necessary for you to achieve what you want to achieve, try thinking of the things that you would lose by succumbing to laziness or any form of inaction. Not just in your career, but in everyday life. Stay motivated to get what you desire.

Have a great week sweeties.
