"A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking because its trust is not in the branch, but in its wings." - Anonymous
Trust is one of those things necessary for a person to live a meaningful, happy life. But, it is one of the hardest things to have, for yourself and for others. The presence of trust in any relationship or endeavour makes it easier for those involved to be themselves.
The toughest thing about trust is that it is difficult to build, but very easy to break. You have to begin with yourself. Even if you don't love yourself, trust yourself to be capable of doing and being whatever you set your mind to. Create a bond with yourself that is unshakable. Because, at the end of the day, you have to live with yourself.
In your relationship with others, trust them. But remember that people have a way of making others regret even the littlest of good efforts. So trust them, but even in the littlest way, verify so that you don't end up hurting yourself. You may be deceived if you trust too much. But you will miss out on the joys of life if you don't trust at all.
Be that bird in the tree, trust yourself and your existence, trust the people who care for you, trust your instincts and abilities. But best of all, trust your unknown to the known. Try trusting your future to God.
