"If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything." - Mark Twain
But the sad thing is, it has become a norm to not be truthful, or entirely truthful, about things. Especially things that have to do with finances, politics, and personal life. Many have no concern about their personal integrity or the value of their words anymore. While some have become too used to lies or have developed an affinity to it that they would rather be lied to than being told the 'bitter truth'. Making it rare to find a statement of fact that is true in its entirety.
Truths are actual statement of fact as it is as against how it should be or how it is expected to be. Just the reality of a situation. Some call it the 'bitter pill' as it is most times not to the liking of the bearer or the receiver. But that does not take away from it being the truth. And whether it is revealed now or in the future, it does not stop being the truth.

I learnt recently that some people expect others to tell lies to them so much so that they have become blind to the truth that is standing right before them. They see your lips move and believe that every word said is a lie being told. And if you dare try to prove the truth of your words, they would get mad at you. People who are mad at you for speaking the truth are people who are living a lie. Keep speaking the truth. Don't let the pressure push you to the negative.
Sometimes, the truth hurts, and sometimes, it feels really good. But telling the truth and making someone cry is better than telling a lie and making someone smile. You would really be hurting yourself in the process. The worst thing one can do is to lie to oneself. Always be truthful, especially to yourself.
