THE LADY'S DIARIES: REFLECTIONS

"If I speak of myself in different ways, that is because I think of myself in different ways." - Michel de Montaigne

Today is the last Sunday of the month of February! Whew! Is it just me or did the month just pass quickly?! It feels like it was just yesterday that we welcomed the month and celebrated Valentine's Day.
Anyway, as usual, the end of the month signifies a time for me to reflect on my actions during the past month and find areas that require improvement. This 'exercise' requires my ability to be truthful and to hold myself accountable, 100%, for all my actions, good or bad.
I believe that in making the world better, everyone of us, jointly and individually, have to be the best versions of ourselves. And being a better version of yourself requires a great amount of patience, dedication, truthfulness(to yourself especially), and some 'you' time to reflect on your progress. It's not to say that because you want to be a better version of yourself, you should be self-absorbed and not care about others. Or, that you should undergo a drastic change that you struggle to keep up with, or, that causes people to take advantage of you.
On the contrary, it is just for you to reflect on what life means to you, what is important in life, and the areas of your life that you need to improve on to make life easier for you and those around you. It must not be a big change with a timeframe for you to assess your progress report. Just a lifestyle change, one at a time, is good enough.
Don't be too interested in what's going on around you that you miss what is going on inside you. Take some time to know who you really are, and know if that is who you want to be. If you can be a better person, and those around see this, they too may consider to be better. And gradually, you could be the reason for that ripple effect of positive change. You never know.
Have a lovely day.
