"Tomorrow is a fresh opportunity to make it better." - Zig Ziglar
As humans, life throws challenges at us daily. And the problem is not that we cannot face those challenges head on, it is that we remember the way(s) we had failed at other challenges in the past and we begin to think that we cannot handle the present challenges. Hence, we begin to fail before we begin.
Is it therefore right to conclude that our ability to remember is a drawback? No. Our ability to remember is there to help us learn from past mistakes and experiences. But we require the ability to be objective about life, to be able to see each day and each challenge as a new, or different day or challenge. That way, we can deal with the fear that acts as a barrier to our dealing critically with each day.
But our ability to do this is hinged, in some way that may look insignificant, on the way we ended the day before. This is the reason why people who go to bed with a lot of anxiety, wake up the next day, and, without dealing with that anxiety, begin the new day with a lot of fear. This leads them into making almost the same, if not the exact, mistakes of time past.
The ability to be objective helps us deal with each fact separately, without being affected by personal feelings, interpretations, or prejudice, being unbiased. Always end the day with a positive thought, no matter how hard things were. And you will be able to see your mistakes, learn from them, and deal with new challenges objectively.
Have a great day!
- The Lady
