"Maturity, one discovers, has everything to do with the acceptance of 'not knowing'." - Mark Z. Danielewski
We have all had those times. Those times of complete uncertainty about an issue that we are faced with. I have had my own share of those. I remember the pain. It felt like my head was about to explode. I had been thinking all day the day before, and the next day was no different. But after all the thinking, I don't think I got to any reasonable conclusion.
Lesson learnt? No matter how hard you think when stressed and uncertain about an issue, you will end up stressing yourself the more instead of arriving at a reasonable conclusion. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what is going to happen next.
We romaticise the idea of everything going the way we plan, but in the real world, issues come up. It is perfectly normal to not have figured everything out. The ultimate challenge in life is to accept ourselves exactly as we are, but never stop learning to grow and learn. In a way, I think it is the beauty of being alive - figuring things out as you grow.
The pressure of having everything figured out and everything going as planned can totally stress you out and may cause your head to explode (or implode, depending on the seriousness of the issue). Not forgetting that it could rob you off the opportunity to enjoy every moment of life.
So live life, one moment at a time. If you have figured everything out and it is all going as planned, great for you. But if you are still trying to figure it all out, or things are not going as planned, take a deep breath, focus on the things that you can handle or change, and always remember to trust yourself.
Have a great day lovelies!
