"Every adversity, every failure, every heartbreak, carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit." - Napoleon Hill
January has ended, and we are alive and kicking. It's the first day of the month of February, and a Monday at that. Many may not have noticed the change of date and its significance, continuing with their daily routine and just surviving. But the rest of us have not only noticed the change of dates, we are also hopeful and optimistic about the future.
But optimism, although it helps us look on the more favorable sides of events and situations , and helps us expect the most favorable outcome, it comes with a lot of risks; the risk of failure being a prominent and primary setback to whatever progress can be achieved through optimism. But this is not to say that we should be pessimistic about the future. On the contrary. I'm all for taking chances, having an open mind about things, seeing the best in people and situations, and generally living life one day at a time.
No matter how optimistic one may be, life has one constant and that is change. Change creeps in on its own at anytime and that could cause a lot of problems for even the best laid plans. And change can happen at any time. The best we can do is make plans that can endure regardless of any changes. And if we still experience failure notwithstanding our best intentions and detailed plans, we must remember to go back to the drawing board, find the fault in our plans, and learn from them. There will definitely be something to learn and gain from every failure. Benefit from it. It is the advantage you have above those who have never tried.
So, as we begin this new month, we must not forget that a new day signifies a shot at redemption. We should decide to be better, do things differently for a positive change, and never be afraid to fail or break down. Sometimes you have got to break things down to build it back up. This time, it's not failure or weakness, it is strength that less to success.
Have a fabulous February!!
With love...
