WHAT WOULD YOU BE REMEMBERED FOR IN 2015?

As it is the yuletide season, schools in Nigeria have closed for the holiday and kids are mostly at home. One of those kids is my neighbour's daughter. She and my sister are practically best of friends as my sister buys biscuits and other sweet things that kids love for the little girl. My sister, who had hardly been around recently, came visiting two days ago, and upon seeing my sister, the little girl ran to her to welcome her. She, the little girl, stayed with my sister until my sister and I were about going out. At that point, my sister noticed tears in her eyes and asked her what the problem was. "You don't like me again. You did not buy biscuits for me." She replied. I don't know who was more shocked by that answer, myself or my sister.
The world watches everything we do, whether or not we realize it. Almost no detail goes unnoticed. Everyone, both old and young, takes something away from whatever time spent or relationship we have had with them. Our presence on Earth affects and leaves an impact on anyone who has ever met us. That little girl had, with those sentences, opened my eyes to a detail so minute , I nearly missed it. What kind of impact did I make in the lives of those I met this year? What impression do they have of me? Did I do good? What will the people I have met remember me for this year?
Though unimportant it may seem, I kept thinking of what that little girl had said. She ended up getting lots of biscuits and sweets from us, but her words, though we laughed about it then, was an eye opener. I have heard that the wisdom of children is expensive as it has not been soiled with the evil(politics) of the Earth. That phrase is indeed true, as I have experienced it personally.
Anyway, I hope this affects you the way it did me. Sit back, think of your life and how you treated people and/or made them feel this year. If you did anyone wrong, please do the needful to make things right. If you did not, please endeavor to continue, and if possible, improve on what you did this year, in the next year. There's always room for improvement. Don't let the actions of others dictate your own actions.
